Sloan is already grinning when he sits down across the table from their thief. It's not a smug grin, or a good cop grin. It's more like your dad's grin in the split second between when he comes up with a terrible joke and when he can deliver it.
"Honey, you've been buzzing through my head all day." He's too pleased with himself, even if he just blew his shot with this perp. "So, who's your boss, Hiro? Give us the deets and we might be able to help you out."
Hiro's nose scrunches up in (possibly feigned) distaste at this very cheesy flirting. "I'm pretty sure you can't sexually harass me," they say. "I'm pretty sure you gotta follow the law."
As for the actual question, by this point in the interrogation Hiro seems pretty resigned to their fate. But they're still not all that helpful.
"There were three of them," Hiro says of their bosses. "I never met any of them in person and they didn't tell me their names. They had me call them the Man, the Woman, and the Kid."
