library fieldtrip

hit them books
what's up? Today, the aurors are given free reign of the MACUSA Library and Archives, the world's largest repository of magical tomes and texts. A labyrinthine sprawling structure in the heart of Manhattan, the library is known for its vast stores of knowledge... and having a bad personality. As so many magical buildings full of magical objects do, it has a little bit of an attitude, and the aurors are advised to travel in pairs, keep in touch, and not let their guards down. But if they can brave the depths of the reference section, they might be able to find a little useful information...
how this works The library has information from the arcane to the very modern, and so aurors may research any lead they so desire while they're in here. However, the building itself as well as the majority of the books within it have old inherent magic, and they tend to be... difficult. Fill out this form to explore the stacks!

Name: Your Character's Name
Rank/Branch: Your Character's Rank and Branch
Topic to be Researched: This can be just about anything, whether it's a lead they want to follow up on, or just... personal curiosity!
Relevant Skill: The library is dangerous. Which of your character's skills are they going to use to navigate it?
Library Prowess: On a scale of 1-10, rate your character's research skills/ability to defend themselves from a hostile book/love of library science.
Anything Else?

locations! BOOK ENCOUNTERS: Fill out a form to get an interaction with a magical library book.

"BASECAMP": Friday and Everett have set up shop in a private conference room on the first subbasement level, which offers coffee, snacks, and a safe place to read a book you've wrangled.

THE STACKS: This is where the majority of the books are stored, and it's a little wacky down there. A buddy system buddy is highly recommended.
